WP Coupons and Deals Turns 1 Year Old – What’s Coming Next?

Time really flies. I can’t believe it has been 1 year already since we released WP Coupons and Deals.

It has been a great journey, thanks to you, all the awesome users of WP Coupons and Deals.

I wanted to share a quick recap of last one year of the journey and what’s coming next in WP Coupons and Deals plugin.

Stats of Last Year for WP Coupons and Deals

22 Update Releases – We have worked on lots of new features, functionalities, and bugs. We released a total of 22 updates in the last one year.

1000+ Active Sites – We have 1000+ active sites using WP Coupons and Deals. According to our Freemius data, it’s 1500+.

300+ Paying Customers – We released the premium version few months after the release of the free version. Till date, we have 300+ users who are using the premium version of WP Coupons and Deals.

4.9 out of 5 stars – Out of 33 reviews on WordPress.org, we have 31 five star reviews and 2 four star reviews.

What’s Next in WP Coupons and Deals?

We are continuously working to make WP Coupons and Deals more efficient and useful for you.

Here are the few things we are working on right now that some of our users have requested for.

Voting System for Coupons

We are adding a voting a system for coupons which users can use to vote whether the coupon worked for them or not.

This is useful both for you and your users to know which coupons are working, which are not.

Affiliate Link Cloaking

This is another functionality that lots of our users have requested. This will be really handy to replace the ugly looking big affiliate links with nice, user-friendly links.

This is also a good practice for SEO.

AMP Compatibility for Coupon Templates

AMP is getting more popular with the passage of time.

We are working to make our coupon templates AMP compatible so you can use them on AMP powered pages too.

More Templates for Category and Archive Shortcodes

Right now, we have only two template option for category and archive shortcodes.

We are working to add more template options for both category and archive shortcodes.

Gutenberg Block for Coupons

Gutenberg will be available soon on the core, replacing the old editor.

We will provide a Gutenberg block for you so you can easily insert coupons in your posts/pages. Better than the shortcode inserter we have currently.

Option to Track Coupon Clicks/Usage

While this is not a priority right now, but we have plans to add a functionality which will let you track how many times a coupon was clicked.
